KWCo FILM
In 2019, KWCo began our first foray into the world of film. Learning to immerse ourselves in a new medium has been no fast or easy task. These last few years have been filled with new ideas, experiments and revelations. Now we’re ready to begin sharing our journey with you!
We’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with photographer and filmmaker Jack Flame Sorokin. Jack’s work reflects a fascination with humanity’s relationship to land and environment. His terrific eye and lively mind have lent impetus and structure to our adventures in filmmaking.
Following the success of our first film, Landfall, we’re excited to share more films to come. For the latest updates, sign up for our mailing list below!
Landfall
Landfall is our first dance film, featuring performers Thryn Saxon and Nicole Vaughan-Diaz, set to Kaija Saariaho’s exquisite “Sept Papillons for solo Cello,” performed by cellist Dirk Wietheger. Landfall is the winner of “Best Experimental Short” at the 2022 Paris Short Film Festival and “Best Cinematography” at The 2022 Experimental Dance and Music Film Festival.
